UFR Blog home-page
The home page of the blog of the Art and history department of Toulouse university, featuring auto generative motifs and graphics
Homepage of the art and history departments blog of Toulouse university
The university of Toulouse hired me to make a home-page for their new blog of the art and history department, it had to be unique, different and compatible with WordPress, So I wrote a special theme shell for them, where I could put my scripts in and they could update/ change their theme later as well without affecting the first/home page. The page itself features two algorithmic auto-generative visual areas made using HTML5 canvas features: The upper part draws the logo of the University of Mirail (Toulouse 2) using a mathematical algorithm and then refresh it using a vintage CTR TV-like noise effect, and the second part which creates and removes (Using a glitch effect I wrote) and re-create (each time unique motifs) 3 buttons made of motifs inspired from Persian carpet motifs, the process of creation of motifs is completely automatic, random and creates a unique motif each time.
